About Purple Window
Purple Window is an artist-led, community-supported project space and gallery coming soon to Avondale, Chicago. As an artist cooperative, Purple Window is jointly owned and democratically controlled by its members. The co-op exhibition space is run by a panel of Chicago-based artists, devoted to fostering a sense of community and empowerment for artists both within and outside of city limits. Purple Window is committed to building a community-centric environment that promotes local, emerging, and under-represented artists and makers. The Avondale gallery slated to open in 2021 will exhibit innovative artists across disciplines through bi-monthly solo, group, and three-person exhibitions in our brick-and-mortar space.
