OUR KICKSTARTER

Purple Window is an artist-led, community-supported project space and gallery new to Mana Contemporary Chicago. As an artist cooperative, Purple Window is jointly owned and democratically controlled by its members. The co-op exhibition space is run by a panel of Chicago-based artists, devoted to fostering a sense of community and empowerment for artists both within and outside of city limits.

The gallery will exhibit innovative artists across disciplines through monthly two-person, group, and four-person exhibitions in our studio space at Mana Contemporary Chicago. Purple Window will also continue to serve as a project space for participatory works, facilitated through open calls that engage with a wide audience of artists, makers, and creative individuals. Purple Window strives to create an open environment where its members collectively execute exhibition programming.

Some of the costs exceed our means so we've created this Kickstarter to raise funds to buy the necessary materials and supplies to ensure successful gallery programming. Your support of our Kickstarter will in turn support artists and makers throughout Chicago and the Midwest. We greatly appreciate any level of support you're able to offer. We have a range of handcrafted rewards and artworks made by some of the artists who help make Purple Window possible.
